Maria I. Zeyrek
Maria I. Zeyrek earned her B.A. in English from U.C. Berkeley and her J.D. from Whittier College of Law. She was admitted to practice in California in 1997 and is also admitted to practice before all United States District Courts in California.
Ms. Zeyrek has extensive experience in the areas of general liability, Social Security Disability, construction defect, toxic torts, and immigration. She has many years of experience handling personal, middle market and commercial liability matters in the areas of premises, products and auto/trucking. Her general liability cases have included "sick" building or mold cases, major injury vehicle and construction site accidents, fire and landslide cases, slip and falls, amputations and tree-related injuries. Her construction defect matters have involved subcontractor representation related to commercial buildings, tract homes, condominiums and high-value single family homes.
Ms. Zeyrek has also represented hundreds of Social Security Disability claimants at Administrative Law hearings leading to favorable recoveries for her clients. She has handled multiple immigration matters in the areas of political asylum, family-based petitions and citizenship. Ms. Zeyrek has also been involved in collections cases.
Ms. Zeyrek has obtained successful recoveries at bench trial for credit card company clients. She has represented clients many times in arbitrations and at Administrative Law hearings with favorable results. She has resolved matters at all stages of a case from prior to first appearance up to the first day of trial. She has also argued before the California Courts of Appeal.
