Alexis H. Rudd
Alex Rudd was admitted to practice in 2003. He has substantial experience in discovery and pretrial preparation of civil litigation matters, including drafting and arguing dispositive pretrial motions. His practice concentrates on the defense of asbestos personal injury and wrongful death actions, but also includes non-asbestos product liability matters and counseling to avoid litigation.
Before joining Vasquez Estrada & Conway LLP, Alex helped prosecute private antitrust and trade secret suits involving large technology companies. Prior to practicing law, he worked as a researcher for a non-profit organization and later worked for a municipal government in New England.
Alex earned his Bachelor's Degree from Cornell University in 1989, his Master's Degree from the City University of New York in 1994, and his Juris Doctor from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 2002. In law school, he served as Managing Editor of the Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal and earned the school's prestigious Certificate in High Technology Law. Alex is admitted to practice in all California state courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association and the Marin County Bar Association. In addition to English, Alex speaks Russian.
