Patricia K. Conway was admitted to practice in 1996 and specializes in the defense of environmental, construction defect and personal injury claims.  Before joining Vasquez Estrada & Conway LLP, Patricia practiced as a litigation associate at Hinshaw & Culbertson in San Francisco and at Clapp, Moroney, Bellagamba, Davis & Vucinich in Menlo Park, California.  She has comprehensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including discovery, law and motion, appellate and trial practice.

Patricia began her career defending developers and various trades in construction defect lawsuits.  Patricia has also represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury lawsuits, and real estate professional negligence lawsuits.  Patricia has extensive experience in asbestos litigation and has worked with the firm’s asbestos clients for over a decade specializing in general contractor and premises liability.

Patricia received a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy in 1993 from Santa Clara University, with a minor in French and in International Studies.  Patricia earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco in 1996, where she received an American Jurisprudence Award in Real Property.  After graduating from law school, Patricia clerked for Justices James Perley and Daniel Hanlon of California’s First District Court of Appeal.  Patricia is an active alumna and mentors visiting international LLM students studying at USF.

Patricia became a partner when the firm was founded in 2001 and is the youngest member of her graduating class to become a partner at a law firm.  Patricia has been named a “Rising Star” in Northern California Super Lawyer Magazine’s 2009 and 2010 publications.

Patricia is admitted to practice in all California state courts and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.  Patricia has been an active member of the San Francisco Bar Association’s Volunteer Legal Services Program and her pro bono work has included representing family day care providers.   Patricia is a member of the Edward J. McFetridge Inn of Court, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the Marin County Bar Association.  In addition to English, Patricia speaks Czech, Slovak, French and German.
